ZRWeddings is wedding photography by John Zich and Anne Ryan, a husband-wife team of photojournalists based in Chicago. We've been married for more than 25 years and shoot assignments for leading national and international publications. We've also each won more awards from the Wedding Photojournalism Association than any other photographer in the state of Illinois.

For years we had turned down requests to photograph weddings. As documentary photographers we had no interest in doing traditional posed wedding photography. But after learning that couples were interested in real photojournalism, we decided to shoot a few weddings. We loved it!

There are so many great moments and emotions to capture. We've been telling stories through pictures our entire careers. It's a special honor to be invited into a family's life on such an important day and we make sure the day is captured in photographs with all the depth, emotion, spontaneity and beauty that a wedding day brings. We use the same approach and the same cameras that we use for our magazine and newspaper assignments along with 45 - plus combined years of photojournalism experience.
